Companies have many reasons to use e-invoicing instead of paper documentation, such as regulatory compliance, quick response to changes in regulations, and less manual errors, not mentioning financial and processing benefits.

Moreover, governments are turning to electronic invoicing as a main component of tax digitalization. By requiring tax information to be digitally submitted to tax authorities in real time, governments can minimize tax evasion, manipulation and also reduce fraud.

Electronic invoicing is being used in over 60 countries now in both public and private sector.

Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, and Dynamics 365 Project Operations are extended by The Electronic Billing Add-in (Preview) to support organizations. The add-on streamlines adherence to the latest e-billing standards and provides a consistent experience in different countries.

The Electronic invoicing add-in consists of some non-standard solutions for regions and countries. With the flexibility to transform data and simplified configurable integrations, organizations can use the e-invoicing add-on to handle e-invoicing everywhere.

The preview of the electronic invoicing ad-on is available from October 2020.
